The Fight ended in a three round split decision between Dan Henderson and Rich Franklin. In the first round Henderson landed some good punches and Franklin had some great leg kicks to add. It was all Henderson in the second round bringing Franklin to the mat and controlling the fight until the bell sounded. With the final round underway it was full action between these two fighters with Henderson landing more punches and Franklin also staying busy catching a finger to his eye. It was Henderson who took the win in this fight bringing his record to 24-7 and Franklin droping to 26-4.

This fight started right at the bell in round one with full contact between Rua and Coleman. Each fighter bringing the other to the mat. It was Rua who landed a right behind Colemans ear sending him to the mat, but Coleman was able to continue through the round. Going into round two Rua right away hit Coleman with punches and kicks, but Coleman got a take down. Coleman continues to land punches, and Rua finished the round with ground strikes. In the final round Coleman landed a take down with ground strikes with the crown cheering. But it was Rua who landed as much as seven blows on Coleman ending the fight at 4:36.

Hathaway Defeats Egan in Round 1

This fight was full of thrill with Dublin's own Tom Egan fighting John Hathaway from England. It was Hathaway who took the win in this welterweight preliminary bout with a bombard of ground strikes. The fight was stopped with 4:36 into round one. It was disappointment for Dublin fans to see their local fighter lose in UFC 93. As a result to the fight it brings Hathaway to 11-1 and Egan drops to 4-1.

Antoni Hardonk defeats Mike Wessel in the UFC's preliminary bout with a TKO in the second round. This was Wessel's debut fight due to a late decision, and he did not at anytime back down to Hardonk. In round one Wessel did get Hardonk down with a single leg takedown, but in round two it went right to the mat. From the mat Hardonk got full control on Wessel's back and just teed off until the fight was stopped at 2:09 in the second round. Mir KO's Nogueira wins Heavyweight Title

Returning to the octagon with a career comeback Frank Mir dominated the fight against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. It was Mir's UFC return following his motorcycle accident in 2004 in which he broke his leg which kept him from fighting taking away his former UFC title belt. Frank Mir has done it, his win against Nogueira makes him the only fighter to defeat and beat the Pride Heavyweight Champion. The fight was full of action with Mir connecting with a solid uppercut. It was all Mir dropping Nogueira to the mat with a clean left punch right before round 1 ended. In the second round Nogueira came out aggresive, but Mir soon connected two left punches to Nogueira jaw sending him to the mat, where he unloaded until the fight was stopped at 1:54 into round two. This UFC win for Mir brings his record to 12-3 and drops Nogueira to 31-5-1. Looks like Frank Mir will face the UFC heavyweight Champion Brock Lesner in 2009.

King Rashad Defeats Griffin with TKO

This fight started off really well between Rashad Evans and Forrest Griffin with some really good solid punches. Rashad Evans with a 18 win streak defeated Griffin with a TKO in the third round winning the UFC light heavyweight championship. The fight was full of solid punches, and ended with a hard left punch by Evans bringing Griffin to the mat. It was only time until Rashad finished the fight with some solid punches to Griffin's head. I thought the fight was great and felt that it could have gone either way.
